Cancer Support Groups

Breast Cancer Support Group
This free support group is held the second Thursday each month for patients with breast cancer, breast cancer survivors and their loved ones.

Sisters of HOPE Breast Cancer Support Group
This free support group is held the third Monday of each month for patients with breast cancer, breast cancer survivors and their loved ones. Everyone is welcome and no RSVP is required..

Emotional Support

Facing cancer is an emotional journey, and our team of empathetic professionals is here to provide a listening ear, counseling services, and support groups. You don't have to navigate this path alone – we are committed to helping you cope with the emotional challenges that may arise.

Both ECCC and SMMC offer grief support groups for those struggling to navigate their emotions throughout this challenging time:

Navigating Grief Support Group
This is a free four-week session for anyone who has experienced a loss. Attendees will learn how to live with grief and meet other people who are experiencing the same emotions. An RSVP is required. The group will meet at St. Mary's Center for Education in Breakout Room 1. For more information, please contact St. Mary's Department of Spiritual Care and Mission at 304.526.1188.

Understanding Your Emotions Support Group
This confidential and supportive group will help individuals learn to identify their feelings and explore their emotions, while correcting misperceptions about “bad feelings.” This is a nine-week course, running through March 18. Registration is required. Insurance will be billed for the group fee.
