Situated on the second floor of Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, our pediatric oncology program is dedicated to providing a supportive environment. It includes a designated waiting area, treatment and recovery rooms, and five exam rooms. Specifically designed treatment areas cater to both children and adolescents, featuring child-sized furniture, toys, games, movies, books, computers, and computer games. These amenities offer essential distractions for children and their families during treatment and recovery.
Our certified pediatric oncology nurses, understanding the unique needs of children with cancer, provide care for patients from birth into their early 20s. In addition to administering chemotherapy, these nurses coordinate follow-up appointments, CT scans, MRIs, and other essential appointments, ensuring crucial continuity of care.
